It is a southernmost volcano in Luzon island in the Republic of the Philippines. It is one of the active volcanoes in the Philippines. It is also classified by volcanologists as a stratovolcano and covers the northest rim of Irosin Caldera that was formed about 60,000 years ago. 3 Bagatao Island Lighthouse
Is a historic lighthouse located on Bagatao Island on the eastern ride of the entrance of Sorsogon Bay. It was first designated as a national park. First lit in 1904, the Luz De Isla Bagatao is the last remaining of the tourelle-type towers which is still intact after 111 years. Situated on top of rocky headland in Bagatao Island, Magallanes, Sorsogon, the lighthouse marks the entrance to Sorsogon Bay. It’s primary function is to assist ships in navigating the bend around Ticao Island of Masbate as they head to San Bernardino Strait and exit to the Pacific Ocean.
The metal tower used for the lighthouse was bought by Spain and prefabricated in France by the end of the Spanish colonization in the Philippines. The Americans later on took over the project and finished the construction from 1903-1904.
To date, the local government of Magallanes plans to improve the lighthouse’s facilities to became a major tourist attraction in Magallanes. A view deck is proposed to be built next to the lighthouse to offer a wonderful view of the Sorsogon Bay.
4 Lake Aguingay
Is a vast plain at the center of Bulusan Lake Natural Park located near Bulusan Lake at the Municipality of Bulusan, South central part of the Sorsogon Province, Southern Luzon, Bicol Region, Philippines. It is called The Lake because it is occasionally flooded during wet season and dries up during summer. When it is wet it resembles a big lake located right at the foot of Mt. Bulusan. The area is home to various endemic birds, reptiles and other mammals. It is surrounded by lush vegetation and a tropical rain forest. It is only accessible by foot from Bulusan Lake and from the villages of Kapangihan and San Roque.
5 Lebanon Beach
The trek to Lebanon Beach is not the easiest. For those with wobbly knees, the descent is something short of torture. After all, one has to pick one’s way through boulders and a steep incline. But the beach is well worth the hassle of going there. The powder-fine sand is a treat for sore feet, and the crystal water is just perfect. On windy days, the beach lends itself well to surfing. Located in San Juan, Bacon District, Lebanon Beach is virtually unspoiled. The surrounding granite mountains mirror those of Palawan’s. And the soft breeze that blows from the distant mountains is perfect for a day of ease.
And now you already know the beauty and very unique destination that can be seen in Sorsogon. I hope there’s a lot of memories that you can capture in those places. I hope you enjoy! thank you!

5. Laswitan Falls and Lagoon
Laswitan Falls and Lagoon is probably the most fascinating falls and lagoon in the Philippines. This is one of the extraordinary tourist spots in Surigao del Sur. This is not the usual falls where the waters come from the forest or mountains, it is coming from the OCEAN! It is a splash of waves coming from the Pacific Ocean blocked by the 20-foot black limestone barrier that creates a waterfall effect. Every splash is surely amazing. It would then flow and spill on the main basin.
The uniqueness of this waterfall is like a famous tourist spot in other countries but it is just actually here in the Philippines . Because of the huge waves would flow into the main basin creating a waterfall effect that is why a number of tourists came here an incomparable scenery and it will give you an excitement to enjoy the area. The best month to visit Laswitan is from October to March, or during Amihan season when the waves are stronger.

These islands are all famous of having crystal clear waters and powdery white sand beaches. Can you believe it? 24 Islands? but only a few have a beach but that’s fine! you can still enjoy the 4 islands and do some island hopping as you can see it is similar to Pangasinan’s Hundred Islands. This island is very clean and the water is so clear a perfect place to spend your summer with. Best to come here with less people so you can enjoy more.
Hagonoy Island A long stretch of island with a coconut and talisay trees pretty similar to naked island the only difference is it has coconut trees. The area is peaceful, the sand is fine and the water are very clear. You can actually enjoy the view here and best spot for island hopping.

Tinuy-an Falls is another breathtaking tourist destination in the province. It is being dubbed as the most beautiful multi-tier and widest waterfall in the Philippines. Tinuy-An as the “Niagara Falls of the Philippines” the curtain-like cascading waters is camera-worthy. It has three (3) levels. The second level is the tallest and the widest, a favorite spot for most visitors. One can get closer to the cascading waters through a bamboo raft. Hinatuan Enchanted River is one of the most visited tourist spots in Surigao del Sur. It is considered to be the most mysterious river in the Philippines where the locals believed that creatures like fairies, pixies and mermaids dwell. The water in Enchanted River is very clean and clear. If someone swims in the river, as if he is floating in the sky for it is very clear. https://touristspotsfinder.com/surigao-del-sur-tourist-spots/
However, due to the influx of visitors especially during weekends, the Enchanted River has experienced abuse from some of its patrons. After rehabilitation the LGU decided to restrict swimming in the blue lagoon. This initiative was done “to protect and preserve the river from destructive human exploitation and ensure that future generations will enjoy and benefit from it.” The new swimming area, which the LGU describes as “cool and invigorating,” is located 10 metres away from the main blue lagoon pool. They have also allocated a viewing deck area for the famous fish feeding time. https://www.tripzilla.ph/hinatuan-enchanted-river-closed-swimming/128
The river is located in the Hinatuan, Surigao de Sur, Philippines.
Even though it is now protected and people who will go here is restricted to swim you can still appreciate and enjoy the beauty of Hinatuan Enchanted River and be amused to the new swimming area. I know a lot of you are not familiar to this island because it is not popular compare to the other island. AS YOU CAN SEE THIS IS JUST A SIMPLE ISLAND BUT LET ME TELL YOU WHY THIS IS MY TOP 1 FROM ALL THE WONDERFUL ATTRACTIONS I PRESENT.
Ayoke Island is one of the unspoiled island in Cantilan good for surfing since waves are big even kids here can surf. It is the most virgin beach in the Philippines it is not for beach party people it is for the travelers who wants to discover new paradise like Ayoke Island. You can have a lot of learnings here and you can be more sociable and connect with people because they are all kindhearted and obliging.
Cantilan has four beautiful islands, Huyamao Island, Bills’ Sanctuary or Inijakan, Isla Encantada and of course Ayoke Island was my favorite a very natural beach where you can see people living their simple life with a beautiful and relaxing environment. The island has white sand and rock formations, surrounded with reef as its natural sea wall and it is a promising surfs spot. The waters teem with different fauna species, lands covered with coconut trees and breadfruits as well. https://www.mindanews.com/feature/2012/05/not-just-ok-in-ayoke/

The local surfers of of Ayoke Island especially kids are the surfers here they make their own surfboard using bread fruit tree.
This place hosts almost 100 families with simple livelihood. Ayoke has no electricity but guess what, majority of the households has solar panels enough to light a whole night. People are very approachable and hospitable. The townspeople make sure that they are able to preserve the beauty of Ayoke by teaching visitors how to care for the environment and must have a healthy respect for the environment.
There is no place like Ayoke Island a peaceful place where you can relax and enjoy at the same time, this island is perfect home for you. I think this is one of the treasure of Surigao Del Sur because of its natural beauty. If you want to escape from the modern toxic world then Ayoke Island is one of the best places in the Philippines you can live with simple yet stunning and remarkable and i am sure you will not regret coming here.
